What is Cuelist, exactly?
Cuelist is a production management platform for AI filmmaking. You create a project bible (shots, characters, environments, assets), generate work across multiple AI providers (Google, OpenAI, Kling, Replicate, file uploads), submit takes for review, and manage approvals — all in one place. Think of it as the layer that turns thousands of AI generations into a finished film.
Does Cuelist replace Veo, Kling, Runway, or any other generator?
No. Cuelist sits above them. You generate wherever you want — we organize, version, review, and connect the output. We currently integrate directly with Google Veo/Imagen, OpenAI Sora, Kling, Seedance, and any Replicate model. For platforms we don't integrate with directly (Higgsfield, Flow, Freepik, Leonardo, ComfyUI, Midjourney), file-based ingestion lets you bring work in.
Is this built for solo filmmakers or studios?
Both. Solo mode is great for individual filmmakers — you get the bible, version tracking, and the agent. Team mode adds assignments (admins, directors, artists), review workflows, and per-project membership. The same product, scaled by team configuration.
When can I get in?
We're admitting new accounts in small batches over the coming weeks. The earlier you sign up to the waitlist, the earlier you'll get access. Studios with active productions get priority.
What does it cost?
We're not announcing pricing yet. During the beta, access is free. When we move to paid plans, beta participants will get extended free time and early-mover pricing.
Do I need to bring my own API keys?
Optional. Cuelist provides hosted access to most providers during the beta — you can start generating immediately without any setup. If you have your own API keys, you can plug them in to use your own quota.
Who owns the work I make in Cuelist?
You do, completely and exclusively. Cuelist never claims rights to anything you generate, upload, or organize. Your work is your work.
Where is my data stored?
Project metadata is in our Supabase Postgres database (EU-hosted, in Frankfurt). Generated assets and uploads go to Cloudflare R2. Both are encrypted at rest. We don't share your data with third parties — and never with AI training pipelines.
Can I export everything if I leave?
Yes. We're building a full-project export (JSON metadata + all assets in original format) so you can take everything with you at any time. No vendor lock.
Is there an API?
Not yet. We're prioritizing the user-facing product first. An API for studios with bigger pipelines is on the roadmap for after the public launch.
Can I self-host?
Not currently. The hosted version stays at parity with the latest features and integrations, which a self-hosted version couldn't keep up with. If you have a specific compliance or security requirement that needs self-hosting, talk to us.
Does it work with ComfyUI workflows?
Yes — via file-based ingestion today. You run your ComfyUI workflow locally, drop the output into Cuelist, and we handle organization and review. Tighter ComfyUI integration is on the roadmap.
